What is naturopathic medicine?
Naturopathic medicine is a system of primary and integrative care that focuses on identifying and treating the root cause of illness. Naturopathic physicians use nutrition, lifestyle medicine, botanical medicine, supplements, and conventional treatments when appropriate to support the body’s natural ability to heal.
Are naturopathic doctors licensed in Washington?
Yes. Washington licenses naturopathic physicians, who complete a four-year graduate-level naturopathic medical program and pass board examinations before being licensed to practice.
Where are Harmony Natural Wellness offices located?
We have two offices: 1112 Daniels St, Suite 102A, Vancouver, WA 98660, and 344 Cleveland Ave SE, Suite F, Tumwater, WA 98501.
What are your office hours?
Both of our offices are open Monday through Friday from 9am to 5pm.
Do you offer telehealth visits?
Yes. Harmony Natural Wellness is primarily a telemedicine practice, so most visits take place securely from home. In-person visits are available in Vancouver and Tumwater as needed.
What conditions do you treat?
We help patients with hormone imbalances, menopause, digestive disorders, autoimmune disease, chronic fatigue, anxiety and depression, diabetes and blood sugar concerns, menstrual disorders, sleep problems, and healthy aging goals.
Who are your providers?
Our naturopathic physicians are Dr. Harmony Layne, Dr. Maggie Pilat Rzeszuto, and Dr. Diane Grise.
How long is the first appointment?
Initial consultations typically last about 60 minutes to allow time for a thorough review of your health history, symptoms, and goals.
What should I bring to my first visit?
Please bring recent lab work and medical records, a list of current medications and supplements, a summary of your health concerns, and your insurance card if you plan to use insurance.
Do you accept insurance?
Yes. Several of our providers are in-network with Regence (excluding PeaceHealth plans), Blue Cross Blue Shield, Anthem, Premera, LifeWise, PacificSource, First Choice Health, PHCS, EBMS, and MultiPlan. Dr. Maggie is a cash-pay-only provider.
What are your self-pay rates?
Self-pay office visits are billed at $380 per hour in 5-minute increments, based on the time spent providing your care.
Can naturopathic care be combined with conventional medicine?
Absolutely. Naturopathic care often complements conventional treatment, and we are happy to coordinate with your primary care provider and specialists.
Can naturopathic physicians prescribe medications?
In Washington, naturopathic physicians can prescribe many medications, including bio-identical hormones, when appropriate as part of a comprehensive treatment plan.
What kind of lab testing do you use?
We use standard blood work as well as advanced functional testing, such as comprehensive hormone panels, stool and microbiome analysis, food sensitivity testing, and nutrient evaluations.
How soon will I see results?
Every patient is different. Many people notice improvements within a few weeks, while complex or long-standing conditions may take several months of consistent care.
How often will I need follow-up visits?
Follow-up frequency depends on your condition and treatment plan. Many patients meet with their doctor every few weeks at first, then less often as their health improves.
How do I access the patient portal?
Existing patients can log in to the ChARM patient portal to message their provider, check lab results, and review visit notes. New users can request an account by emailing info@harmonynaturalwellness.com and including their date of birth.
