I cannot express how thankful I am for Dr. Layne. I was having autoimmune thyroid issues and not getting anywhere with my Primary Care Physician. Dr. Layne came highly recommended and I knew after my first visit, that I was in the correct place. She truly looked at the whole picture and listened to me about how I was feeling and all I had gone through. Simple testing helped us figure everything out and I feel better than I have in years. When I was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis in January 2019, I was told by the rheumatologist that I would need to be on medication the rest of my life. I wanted a second opinion and decided to contact a functional practitioner. After researching naturopathic physicians in the Vancouver area, I chose Vigor Natural Health. I read the profiles on the website, but which one of these fine doctors should I see? I was assigned Dr Harmony Layne. Boy did I get lucky. Right away she made me feel so comfortable, like talking to a good friend. Dr. Layne listens intently to my concerns and questions. She is just so darn kind. Dr Layne first tested for food allergies, took a bacteriology profile, parasites, and finally heavy metals. My lead toxicity indicator was off the charts. Who knows how many decades the lead has been accumulating in my 65 year old body. I am sure the lead toxicity is a contributing factor to my RA. Heavy metals detox is such a long, slow process. I'm just happy Dr Layne is the doctor going through this 'journey' with me.

I have known Dr. Layne for about 4 years now. After seeing conventional doctors most of my life, she's been like fresh air to me in solving my health problems. Dr. Layne does not shy back from combining conventional medicine alongside naturopathic ones but only when it is called for and inevitable (i.e.: bacterial sinus infection). She is patient, kind, listens to and hears me, thinks outside of the box and quick to respond to pressing questions/concerns sometimes even after her office hours. She is easy to work with. The past years I've learned a lot about how to take better care of my body and how my food, lifestyle and environmental choices impact it.
